グリーン鉄を広めるための施策と課題
【講演概要】
鉄鋼業は温室効果ガスの排出削減が困難な産業の一つであり、脱炭素化社会の実現にはグリーントランスフォーメーション（GX）の推進が不可欠である。本講演では、鉄鋼業のGX推進に向けた取組を紹介しつつ、需要創造に向けた政策支援やサプライチェーン全体での取組の必要性について考察する。

平成24年に経済産業省に入省。成長戦略策定、核燃料サイクル政策、熊本県庁出向、スタートアップ支援、CCUS政策など幅広い分野の政策立案に従事。令和５年秋より２０２５年日本国際博覧会協会への出向を経た後、令和７年７月より現職。

Presentation Title:
Measures and Challenges for Promoting Green Steel
Abstract:
The steel industry is one of the sectors facing significant challenges in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, promoting Green Transformation (GX) is essential for realizing a decarbonized society.In this presentation, we will introduce the initiatives underway to advance GX in the steel industry and discuss the necessity of policy support for demand creation and coordinated efforts across the entire supply chain.
Profile:
Oshita joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2012. Since then, they have accumulated extensive experience in policy planning, contributing to diverse areas such as the formulation of Growth Strategies, Nuclear Fuel Cycle policy, and crucial efforts in Startup support and CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) policy. Their career also includes a period of secondment to the Kumamoto Prefectural Government. Following a secondment to the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (Osaka-Kansai Expo) starting in the autumn of 2023, they are scheduled to assume their current position in July 2025.
