The Rare Earths Subcommittee of the Japan New Metals Association has announced the actual demand for rare earths in 2022. According to the report, the overall actual demand for rare earths in Japan in 2022 was 16,039 tons, down 12.9% from the previous year. Didymium, neodymium, and other elements continued to grow from the previous year, but cerium decreased significantly.
