Mr. Parolia is an IIT Kharagpur–trained metallurgical engineer and has been dedicated to advancing India’s metal and materials industry throughout his career with unwavering determination. He firmly believes that there is no shortcut to building a lasting institution; it must be done thoughtfully, judiciously, and with the confidence of all parties involved. Nihon Ispat Private Limited was started in 1988 by Mr. Parolia on the premise that credibility is the priority for any successful organisation to grow. With a humble start, Nihon Ispat has developed into one of India’s leading indentors for ferrous / non-ferrous scrap, stainless steel, and steel products by linking Indian businesses to quality suppliers globally.
Mr. Parolia has consistently exhibited prudent and patient leadership. Even during volatile market conditions and periods of uncertainty, he has favored balance and values, rather than speed or convenience. In addition to building up his own company, Mr. Parolia has made notable contributions to MRAI as a Founding Member and as an Ambassador for the Bureau of Middle East Recycling; these experiences brought him respect and credibility because he prioritizes relationships over transactions, allowing him to establish dependable partnerships that are based upon honest and trustworthy behaviour.
Mr. Purushottam Parolia received the Lifetime Achievement Award from MRAI in recognition of his long-term commitment to the recycling and metal industry, which represents Mr. Parolia's contributions to the profession as well as the esteem he has earned throughout the global community of recyclers and metallurgists.
He has earned global respect for his approach to business focused on developing mutually beneficial relationships that can provide continuity and sustainability through transparency, reliability, and trust. He has also served as a mentor and steward, and has ensured that the principles by which he operates will endure well after he has moved on. The work accomplished by Mr. Purushottam Parolia throughout his life is evidence of a fundamental principle of business: when you lead with integrity, you will ultimately achieve success that is sustainable.
