MRAI Second International Conference in Bangkok

The International Business Summit conference, hosted by the MRAI, a non-ferrous and steel recycling industry association in India, began in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 25th. The event is held at the Marriott Hotel in Sukhumvit. As usual, the air conditioning is excessively cold. About 20 companies have set up booths.

Although it is the rainy season in Thailand and the temperature is a comfortable 28-30 degrees Celsius, the air conditioning makes it quite chilly.

According to the organizers, this second international conference for MRAI has attracted around 700 participants from 25 countries. Unsurprisingly, the majority of attendees, nearly 80%, are from Indian companies. The conference proceedings are somewhat slow-paced, but the event itself is highly entertaining. This year, Chinese companies, which did not participate last time, have set up booths. The young MRAI staff and the conference’s growing success suggest promising future developments. MIRU is participating as a media partner.

On the first day, there were interesting panel sessions on steel, non-ferrous metals, and battery recycling. Representatives from the Indian embassy also visited the venue.

Both inside and outside the venue, business talks are a familiar sight, leading to new connections and important discussions. Details of the panel sessions and more will be published later. Namaste!
