Antimony Import Report #3 – 2024: The Lowest Import Volume Since the Lehman Crisis – Significant Impact from China’s Decline

Japan’s imports of antimony ingots and powders in 2024 have been at their lowest level since the Lehman Shock. One major reason for this is the sharp rise in average import prices from January to August 2024, which have doubled compared to the beginning of the year. Another significant factor is the decline in import volume from China, Japan’s largest source of antimony imports.
