GBRC 2025 SMM Battery Recycling & Circular Economy Conference to be Held in Ningbo This August

 

With growing global attention on environmental sustainability and responsible resource utilization, the GBRC 2025 SMM Battery Recycling & Circular Economy Annual Conference is set to take place from August 14–15, 2025, in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China.

Background

 

As electric vehicle adoption surges, battery production and disposal have posed mounting environmental challenges. Governments, enterprises, and research institutions worldwide are working toward technological innovation and industrialization in battery recycling.

 

Lead-acid batteries have a high recycling rate, but improper processing can cause serious environmental and health hazards. Lithium-ion batteries, despite their low recovery rate, contain valuable rare metals, making advanced recycling technologies and clear policies more urgent.

 

Against this backdrop, GBRC 2025 aims to bring together global stakeholders for exchange and collaboration, driving innovation and international partnerships in the battery recycling sector.
