About hastelloy C(Benchmark dealer buy-in price) Data
Hastelloy C-series alloys (notably C-276 and C-22) are nickel-chromium-molybdenum superalloys characterized by exceptional corrosion and heat resistance. They offer outstanding durability in extreme environments, including strong acids, alkalis, and chlorine, even at elevated temperatures. These materials are indispensable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and strength, such as chemical processing plants, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, and waste treatment facilities. Yen per kg.

Ultimate Corrosion Resistance: Offers the highest level of resistance to severe environments where standard stainless steels fail. It is highly resistant to localized corrosion (pitting and crevice corrosion) and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in media such as wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, and chloride solutions.
Thermal Stability: Maintains high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures with minimal loss of corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition.
Alloy Classifications:
C-276: The most versatile grade; its high molybdenum content provides resistance across a broad range of corrosive environments.
C-22: Features higher chromium content, providing exceptional resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
Machinability: Known as a difficult-to-machine material. Its high ductility and significant work-hardening characteristics make machining (cutting and milling) extremely challenging.
