Hastelloy C-series alloys (notably C-276 and C-22) are nickel-chromium-molybdenum superalloys characterized by exceptional corrosion and heat resistance. They offer outstanding durability in extreme environments, including strong acids, alkalis, and chlorine, even at elevated temperatures. These materials are indispensable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and strength, such as chemical processing plants, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, and waste treatment facilities. Ultimate Corrosion Resistance: Offers the highest level of resistance to severe environments where standard stainless steels fail. It is highly resistant to localized corrosion (pitting and crevice corrosion) and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in media such as wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, and chloride solutions.
