About inconell718(Benchmark dealer buy-in price) Data

Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hardened nickel-based superalloy containing chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. It exhibits exceptionally high strength and superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures up to 700°C. Due to its outstanding performance under extreme conditions, this alloy is indispensable for high-load components in aerospace (jet engines), gas turbines, nuclear power, and marine engineering. Yen per kg.

High-Temperature Strength & Corrosion Resistance: Maintains exceptional mechanical strength at temperatures up to 700°C, offering superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion.
Workability: As a precipitation-hardened alloy, it exhibits excellent weldability in the solution-annealed state (prior to heat treatment).
Applications: Widely used for jet engine turbine disks, rocket components, high-tensile bolts, and pump shafts.
Physical Properties: The density is approximately 8.19 g/cm³. Due to its significant work-hardening characteristics, it is classified as a difficult-to-cut material (superalloy).
3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing): Increasingly popular as a material for metal 3D printing (AM). It achieves high hardness (approx. HRC 47) through post-process heat treatment.
