Profile
Raman is the Japan Country Head at Tata Elxsi, based in Kawasaki, Japan, bringing extensive leadership experience across engineering, digital technologies, and automotive innovation with deep expertise in product development, engineering R&D, and strategic business growth.
At Tata Elxsi, Raman leads the company’s Japan operations, supporting OEMs and technology partners across automotive, mobility, semiconductor, and next‑generation engineering domains.
He is particularly active in advancing EV battery engineering, embedded software, BMS development, thermal design, and full lifecycle battery solutions. His team works across the entire EV battery development chain—from cell and module engineering to pack design, validation, and system integration.
Raman is also a key contributor to Tata Elxsi’s end‑to‑end battery strategy, emphasizing circular design and second‑life applications for batteries.
With nearly 30 years of engagement in Japan’s engineering ecosystem, Raman has overseen collaborations with major Japanese OEMs and technology companies across EV, semiconductor, mobility, and smart systems development. His work reflects a strong commitment to digital engineering, sustainability, and strengthening Japan–India technology partnerships.

タタ・エルクシーにおいて、ラマン氏は日本市場のオペレーションを統括し、自動車、モビリティ、半導体、および次世代エンジニアリング分野のOEM（自動車メーカー）やテクノロジーパートナーを支援しています。
特に、EVバッテリー・エンジニアリング、組み込みソフトウェア、BMS（バッテリー管理システム）開発、熱設計、およびフルライフサイクルのバッテリーソリューションの推進に注力しています。彼のチームは、セルやモジュールのエンジニアリングからパック設計、検証、システム統合に至るまで、EVバッテリー開発チェーンの全工程に携わっています。
また、ラマン氏はタタ・エルクシーの包括的なバッテリー戦略における主要な貢献者でもあり、サーキュラーデザイン（循環型設計）やバッテリーの二次利用（セカンドライフ）を重視した取り組みを行っています。
30年近くにわたり日本のエンジニアリング・エコシステムに関わってきた経験を活かし、EV、半導体、モビリティ、スマートシステム開発の各分野で、日本の主要OEMやテクノロジー企業との連携を主導してきました。彼の活動は、デジタル・エンジニアリング、サステナビリティ、そして日本とインドの技術パートナーシップの強化に対する強いコミットメントを反映しています。
