Australian Lynas announced on May 20, 2019 that it plans to build a rare earth separation and refining plant in Texas in partnership with US Blue Line. Lynas is reported to be the world's largest producer of rare earths outside China (with a global market share of approximately 12%), and it is reported that the United States wants to secure a supply source of rare earths
