A few months ago, the Pakistani government signed a 10-year contract with Qatar to import 30 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The current agreement with Doha is the result of amendments to a similar agreement that Pakistan signed with Qatar a few years ago (a 20-year agreement) for the import of liquefied natural gas.
