Last week, a research team from the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago has introduced an innovative blue hydrogel material with strong semiconductor capabilities, as detailed in a recent Science publication. This hydrogel, which floats in water like a jellyfish, combines the flexibility of traditional hydrogels with the electronic functionality of semiconductors, enabling seamless information transmission between biological tissues and electronic devices.
