The domestic demand for stainless steel materials is by no means booming. Production by domestic manufacturers remains at a low, stable level, and one direct or indirect factor behind this is the increase in stainless steel imports. In the first half of this year alone, imports exceeded 150,000 tons, and total imports are projected to surpass a record 310,000 tons for the year.
