From September 22 to September 28, 2025, the battery industry saw a number of news items concerning the safety of electric vehicle (EV) and mobile batteries. With fire incidents continuing to occur, safety has become a global concern. Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has decided to mandate new safety tests for automakers. Overseas, China reported that mobile battery recalls had reached 1.36 million units.
