Rare earth market conditions from late January to early February 2026 showed selective gains. Only light rare earths recorded price increases, while other materials remained flat or saw only minor adjustments. Prices of neodymium metal —supported by relatively strong expectations for future demand amid medium- to long-term electric vehicle (EV) adoption—rose during the period. However, trading volumes are declining as China’s Lunar New Year holidays approach.
