November average bid prices of lead battery scrap were JPY 47.3 w/o VAT, a domestic secondary lead smelter noted. Traded volume was as much as 3,700 tons amid increased generation partly due to seasonal factors. Presently they still have a balance of around 1,800 tons of uncollected battery waste out of total ordered volume in truckage shortage, they added.
