The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) announced that the UKCS Mediation Pilot is extended until 30 April 2022. The scheme - which aims to test the extent to which mediation can assist oil and gas licensees, operators and infrastructure owners to resolve disputes - has had an encouraging start, but the unusual operating conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has persuaded us of the need to extend the pilot further.
