REC Co., Ltd., headquartered in Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is one of the leading non-ferrous metal scrap dealers in the region and a dismantler of lead-acid batteries. Recently, REC has become a subsidiary of Shinwa Steel Co., Ltd. (headed by President Yukiyasu Morita, located in Wakamatsu, Kitakyushu City). Although Shinwa Steel acquired REC through an M&A transaction, the company name and organizational structure will remain unchanged, and REC will continue to operate as it has.
