In January 2026, China’s black mass imports reached approximately 220,000 tons, with a total value of about RMB 4.8 billion. In February, however, imports declined to roughly 120,000 tons, with a total value of RMB 3.66 billion. This sharp decrease in February is primarily attributed to seasonal factors, including logistics disruptions and reduced industrial activity during the Chinese New Year. As such, it is considered within the normal range of fluctuation.
