At present, the market price of black mass recovered from lithium-ion battery (LIB) scrap is rising sharply. In particular, for NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) black mass, the payable rate for nickel and cobalt is approaching 100%, and in the case of high-purity black powder, it has even exceeded 100%, creating an unusual "inversion phenomenon" in which refining costs appear to be ignored.
