SUSscrap Market 2024#15 Strong yen and falling LME nickel prices cause further decline

The SUS scrap market is likely to follow a downward trend in the near term, reflecting the decline in LME nickel prices and the significant appreciation of the yen. From the 25th onwards, domestic manufacturers’ purchase prices for 304-grade scrap are expected to decrease by 5 yen to 210-215 yen per kilogram.
