According to a report by IPIS, Apple has recently come under the spotlight again due to issues related to “conflict minerals.” In late April 2024, international media highlighted accusations against Apple for sourcing “conflict minerals”—primarily tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold (collectively known as 3TG minerals)—from the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
