About data of "High carbon ferrochrome(C6~8% Cr60~63% Si3% max)"

写真Ferrochrome is an alloy of iron and chromium. It is classified as high carbon, medium carbon, or low carbon depending on its carbon content. (However, the content rate set by each country differs.) Its main use is as an additive in stainless steel and other special steels. Ferrochrome is so commonly used that there is almost no steel grade that does not contain ferrochrome, accounting for about 95% of chromium consumption. It is also widely used in chemicals, castings, refractories, and other applications. In 2010, domestic demand was 410 thousand tons, while supply was 456 thousand tons. The main producers of chrome raw materials are the Republic of South Africa and neighboring countries, the former Soviet Union, India, and China. MIRU revises its weekly report on high-carbon ferrochrome from South Africa through interviews with affiliated media, trading companies, traders, and others.
