＜略歴＞

1995年4月：株式会社東芝 入社 研究開発センター勤務
2015年4月：同社 研究開発センター 機能材料ラボラトリ－・室長
2019年4月：同社 電池事業部 セル応用技術部・部長
2020年４月：同社 電池事業部・技師長 現在に至る

（入社以来、研究開発センターにて機能材料の開発に従事。1999年よりリチウムイオン電池の材料開発に係り、2002年にチタン酸リチウムを負極材料に用いた二次電池SCiBを着想し、2008年に商品化。2015年から4年間は研究開発センター機能材料ラボラトリーの室長として、電池、磁性材料、超電導、太陽電池、水処理技術等の開発を推進。2020年4月からは電池事業部に籍を移し、現在は技師長を担当。電池に関する主な受賞歴は、2019/6：全国発明表彰「内閣総理大臣賞」、2020/4：科学技術分野「文部科学大臣表彰」、2020/5：市村産業賞「功績賞」、2022/3「大河内記念技術賞」など。）

(Since joining the company, he has been involved in the development of functional materials at the R&D Center. Since 1999 he has been involved in the development of materials for lithium-ion batteries, and in 2002 he conceived of the SCiB rechargeable battery using lithium titanate as the negative electrode material, which was commercialized in 2008. In April 2020, he moved to the Battery Division, where he is currently the technology executive.)
