There are rumors circulating in the lead industry that the government has granted export permit of lead battery scrap. This happened right before the new framework of the Basel Convention, which will include all e-waste as regulated items whether they are hazardous or not, takes effect on January 1, 2025. I did the below investigation trying to verify the truth behind the rumors. (* To put it simply, it was confirmed at a review meeting in June of this year that permission has been granted for Korea.) →https://www.env.go.jp/press/press_03875.html
