From mid to late May 2025, the rare earth market has remained in a state of stagnation. With the exception of metal terbium—which has risen due to China's export controls—prices have stayed flat or edged slightly higher. Overall, market participants are taking a wait-and-see approach. Amid sluggish demand for end products, both producers and procurement sources are increasingly refraining from active trading.
