The Euro 6 motor gasoline produced by the Saratov Refinery, an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company refining complex, has been awarded the Russian Quality label. The Russian Organization for Quality has issued a diploma and certificate to this effect. The documents confirm that the quality of the product in question is significantly higher than the requirements established by Russian regulations and international standards. Rosneft Oil Company prioritises the highest standards of quality in its products. In 2018, the company was the first in Russia to start producing Euro 6 gasoline with improved environmental characteristics. The Euro 6 motor fuel contains less sulphur (by 20-40%), benzene (no more than 0.8%), and aromatic hydrocarbons (no more than 32%), which helps mitigate corrosion activity and reduces the toxicity of exhaust fumes.

According to its plans, Rosneft expands production and geography of Euro 6 gasoline sales. At present, the green fuel is produced not only at the Saratov Refinery but also at the Ryazan Oil Refining Company and Ufa Group of Refineries.

Production of fuels of high environmental class at the Saratov Refinery was achieved through Rosneft’s ambitious refinery upgrade program, the high professional competence of its employees, and new engineering solutions. Being an environmentally responsible entity, Rosneft carries on improving the production of innovative petroleum-based products. The production and sales of Euro 6 gasoline is the Company’s contribution to environment protection.
