Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. announced on Feb 16 that it will be established in a new company "Idemitsu Tajima EV" in this coming April with Tajima Motor Corporation (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo)  to develop next-generation mobility and services such as ultra-compact EVs (electric vehicles).  (Photo reprinted from Idemitsu Kosan news release)

By combining Idemitsu Kosan's SS network and material development technology with Tajima Motor's vehicle design technology, it will provide a completely new category of mobility centered on ultra-compact EVs that meet potential needs for mobility.

The new company will be invested by Idemitsu Kosan in Tajima EV, an affiliate of Tajima Motor, and the trade name will be changed to "Idemitsu Tajima EV". The first new model of the Idemitsu Tajima EV will be announced in October 2021 and is scheduled to go on sale in 2022.

　Idemitsu Tajima EV not only develops and sells ultra-compact EVs, but also in-vehicle solar, adoption of next-generation batteries, autonomous driving development, green slow mobility development,　new subscriptions and car sharing models, construction of digital platform related to MaaS , We will proceed with the development of the recycling system.
