ILA Member East Penn’s CEO Elected President of US Battery Association

Chris Pruitt, CEO and president of ILA (International Lead Association) member, East Penn Manufacturing Co. is the new president of Battery Council International (BCI). Chris takes over from David Shaffer, CEO of EnerSys, following his two-year tenure. Davdid Shaffer returns to BCI’s board of directors. Chris Pruitt and East Penn represent a long-standing membership of active involvement within the organisation. ILA announced it recently. (Logo quoted from ILA's website)
Chris, as with East Penn, has a long association with BCI — he joined East Penn as a financial controller in 1986 before becoming CFO in 1999 and president of the firm in January 2018. East Penn is a private, family-owned company operating the largest single-site lead battery manufacturing facility in the world.
