Lead battery scrap Update #18 Continuing downward trend amid LME weakness, stable supply and high fuel prices

The LME lead market caught in a downward wave. which was high at $2,400/tonne in April, fell to $2,000/tonne in May and returned to $2,200/tonne in June, but has fallen below $2,000/tonne to $1,900/tonne with monetary tightening triggered by the US interest rate hike and the subsequent global economic slowdown. The price of the 1,900-dollar level was the lowest level since March 2009. The average lead price in June was 343 yen, and the average price in July was 330 yen.
