On September 18, at the Nickel Institute's second annual Battery Day event, Jorge Uzcategui, Senior Analyst at Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, delivered a significant speech discussing the growth prospects of nickel in electric vehicle (EV) batteries and Indonesia’s rise in the global nickel market. Uzcategui pointed out that the demand for nickel is primarily driven by the stainless steel industry, but with the expansion of the electric vehicle market, demand for nickel in batteries is growing rapidly.
