Battery Scrap Market Update Despite seasonal generation increase and price downturn, supply rises

In the domestic Japan, the lead battery scrap prices are in downturn with smooth scrap delivery to the lead smelters, amid LME lead prices drop, while the generation of lead battery scrap picks up in seasonal trends. Consequently the lead battery prices slip from around JPY 40/Kg w/VAT for automotive to JPY35 or JPY 32. A major secondary smelter said
