Lead battery scrap market update 2024 #6: Continued Rise with an Increase of 4-6 Yen Range
05/24/2024 11:58
The lead battery scrap market, which entered a rebound phase earlier than usual in mid-April, has further increased its level. As of May 13, 2024, it stands at 96 yen per kilogram, up 6 yen from mid-April, based on the midpoint. This is due to the activation of exports reflecting the depreciation of the yen, leading to further tightening of the domestic market. The immediate focus is on when it will surpass the three-digit mark, and the market is filled with expectations of higher prices.
