米、東南アジア4か国と貿易協定　レアアース輸入確保、高市氏もマレーシアと会談

　米ホワイトハウスは10月26日、ホームページ上で、「東南アジア4か国との間で、重要鉱物のサプライチェーン(供給網)確立を含む貿易協定を締結した」と発表した。マレーシアで同日開催の東南アジア諸国連合（ASEAN）関連首脳会議に伴う動き。日本は高市早苗首相がマレーシアとの間でレアアースなどの安定供給について話した。

　開催地であるマレーシアのほか、カンボジア、ベトナム、タイとの間で新たな合意を発表した。米国は3カ国すべてからの輸出品に対して19%の関税率を維持するが、一部の商品については課税をゼロに引き下げる。特にマレーシアとの間では、マレーシア側から米国に向け、重要鉱物やレアアース元素の米国への輸出を禁止したり、割当を課したりしないことで合意した。

　一方、日本の高市首相は同日、マレーシアで同国のアンワル・イブラヒム首相と会談し、液化天然ガス(LNG)の安定供給や、レアアース、半導体産業などについて話し合った。NNAアジアが10月27日に伝えた。
