The 9th International Secondary Lead and Battery Recycling Conference (former ISLC), now also known as “RECYCLE100, and the 21st Asian Battery Conference (ABC) will commence on the 1st of September 2025 on Borneo Island in Malaysia.  MIRU’s subscribers would perhaps be familiar with the names of these events since team MIRU has always reported on them.  We are pleased to announce that our company will join them as a media partner again this year. 

As in previous years, the RECYCLE100 will commence first, followed by the ABC.  The official website of RECYCLE 100 states about the event, “You’ll hear from global experts in recycling, smelting, and environmental sustainability as they share best practices for collecting, processing, and recovering valuable elements—whether from lead-acid or lithium batteries”.  Furthermore, “This year’s event will dive deep into both technical and market aspects of battery recycling across multiple chemistries”, according to them.

RECYCLE100, originally known as ISLC, the International Secondary Lead Conference, began as an event that “brings together all sectors of the lead-acid battery recycling and smelting industry”.  In recent years, the recycling of lithium-ion and other batteries has been added to the discussion. Hence, the event's name has changed to the International Secondary Lead and Battery Recycling Conference under the nickname “RECYCLE100.

Next, the ABC, the No.1 lead-acid battery conference and exhibition in the Asian region, will be kicked off on the 2nd of September and run for four days through Friday, the 5th.  The event is described as “(having) a balanced programme that addresses the technical and commercial aspects of a growing and evolving industry”, with over forty-five speakers planned to give presentations.  Participants are expected to hear about a wide range of topics covering many areas, including the current market conditions in each region/area and the latest trends in battery production, as well as meet suppliers and build business networks.
