サーキュラーエコノミーは、すでにグローバルな潮流として広く認識されていますが、その実現には個社単独での対応が難しく、業界全体やバリューチェーン全体を巻き込んだ連携が不可欠です。近年では、企業間の協業やM&Aを活用した取り組みも徐々に増加しており、各社の戦略の一環として位置づけられています。こうした最新の動向と、M&Aを進める際に留意すべきポイントについてご紹介いたします。

The Circular Economy is already widely recognized as a global trend. However, achieving it is difficult for individual companies alone, making collaboration across entire industries and value chains indispensable.

Hayato Mori

He joined PwC in 2003 and has since accumulated over 20 years of experience focused on valuation and financial modeling. Recently, he has also been leading ESG-related engagements, including ESG due diligence. He has international experience from secondments to the PwC office in Perth, Australia, and the PwC office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and has handled a wide variety of cross-border projects.
Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Japan, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States (Delaware), The Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential Holder.
Taeko Suehiro
PwC Advisory LLC, Senior Manager
She is engaged in advisory services for resource circulation and ESG-related matters. Her expertise spans a wide range of ESG-related projects, including ESG due diligence and PMI (Post-Merger Integration), as well as supporting the investigation and execution of new resource circulation businesses for corporations and public administrations, such as waste-to-energy facilities, recycling operations, and final disposal sites.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Technology Management, Professional Engineer (Japan) (Integrated Technical Management / Sanitary Engineering).
