–The Present Outlook for Critical Materials and National Resource Policies–
IRuniverse Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to announce that the
13th Battery Summit in TOKYO will be held on March 17 (Tue)–18 (Wed), 2026.
Since its launch in 2017, the Battery Summit has grown into a leading international platform for the global battery and materials industries. The 2026 edition marks our 13th summit, and will be held on a larger, more global, and more interdisciplinary scale than ever before.
In addition to the international conference program, this year’s event will feature a field trip/plant tour for participants.
The two-day summit will host nearly 25 presentations, inviting battery manufacturers, materials suppliers, resource companies, automotive OEMs, ESS-related firms, recycling companies, equipment manufacturers, and leading researchers from Japan and abroad.
Several companies from China, South Korea, Europe, and North America plan to attend the summit. Additional details will be updated on our official event page.
■ Theme
“Critical Materials and the Battery Industry Through the Lens of Resource Policies Across Countries”
The summit will address global resource strategies, cutting-edge recycling technologies, and economic security issues impacting supply chains.
While the battery sector sits at the core, we will expand the discussion to explore a central question: What materials are truly critical—and what strategies are needed to secure them?
