The oversupply in the copper scrap market has become even clearer. As China, the largest consumer of copper, has announced stock price measures, and the LME(cash) and Copper Japan Quote(JXmetals) have been firm, reflecting these measures, the scrap market price itself is showing a gradual strengthening trend. How long this price movement, which deviates from the actual supply-demand situation, will continue is now emerging as the focus for the immediate future.
